In China, Ying Fu has been working for more than 25 years as a legal consultant to government departments, ministerial offices, universities, state-owned companies, private enterprises, publishing groups and other key actors of the Chinese economy. In recent years she has made scholarly and other contributions to the legal profession that have influenced the development of the rule of law in China.
Ying Fu is the author of twenty two law books in the Sunflower Legal Series that are the base of teaching Chinese laws in Chinese universities and a reference to all practicing lawyers as well as judges. She is also the founder of Sunflower Law Net, a Chinese on-line legal forum that is followed by majority of those involved in the legal sector. Since 2003, Ying Fu has contributed to a weekly column for the People’s Court Daily and the Procuratorial Daily Newspaper, two well-known legal journals in China.
Ying Fuis also the founder of one of the largest law firms in China and subsequently the Global Partner and Director of the North American Affairs Center of Jingsh, China’s largest law firm. In that context she has created Jingsh-Fu Legal Group Canada for the development of legal and professional infrastructure of business people from China or North American business seeking to invest in China.
Ying Fuis also the Deputy Secretary General of the Beihai Court of Arbitration as well a Director and the General Counsel of STABRI (Science and Technology Alliance for the Belt and Road Initiative) which is an international Chinese development body with an initial budget of one trillion US dollars.
Ying Fu is presently considered the most preeminent lawyer in China by her activities in teaching, legal writings, TV appearances coupled with her involvement with two of the largest Chinese law firms. She isoften the lead lawyer in a myriad of prominent matters affecting the legal community in China. She represents the clients of her firms in the highest courts as an authority on such matters.
