Graduate of the University of Montreal, Me Jonathan Fortin practiced corporate law as well as commercial and civil litigation for a boutique law firm in the South Shore of Montreal from 2007 to 2016. During this time he pleaded in front of the Tribunal administrative du Québec, the Régie du logement, the Court of Quebec, Superior Court and the Court of Appeal. His practice also includes American corporate law, intellectual property and hypothecs.
In 2017, he headed of the corporate law division Montreal-North law firm specializing in company transfers in regards to family trusts. His main practice was centered on fiscal reorganization.
Me Fortin joined Mitchell Gattuso’s corporate department in 2018. Client satisfaction being of upmost importance to him, Me Fortin is as dedicated as he is efficient in the proper execution of his mandates.
During his time at university, Me Fortin distinguished himself from his peers with his committed implication in student life, winning the « Prix de l’implication dans l’ombre » as well as being named vice-president of communications of the student association. Me Fortin’s social implication and community involvement has continued throughout his legal career. He was the vice president of BNI-Dynamique Montérégie for one year, and was vice president for six years of the organization “Concept B” which spearheads the “Grenouille en Fête de Chambly”, “Bière et Saveurs de Chambly” and the “Festival Caribü de Longeuil”. He remains on the board of directors of Concept B.
